Wow wee!! I totally enjoyed myself today!! Spent an entire day with friends whom I wanna get to know better!!! So it's soooo cool!!
As you guys all know, the Amazing Race is coming up so my team has decided to start training!! So our schedule today was to run in the nice breeze at East Coast Park!! Although Yu Zhong and myself live helluva far from ECP, we made an effort to go down there to meet the girls since they live nearby!! So we arranged to meet at the bustop after Katong Shopping Centre and walk over!!
Arranged time of meeting: 8.30am Time Yu Zhong and myself reached: 8.30am Time Natalie reached: 9.00am Time Shi Lei reached: 9.15am
Conclusion: The nearer you live to the point where you're supposed to meet the later you'll be!!
So now we know who owes us all a treat ritez?
Hahaha! Okiez, so we proceeded on to ECP and deposited our bags @ Paddle Culture! It costs $1 per locker so next time if you need a place to keep your bag you know where to go now!!
Started warming up along the path when we saw this indian guy wearing a cap walking towards us with 2 guys around him. He looked kinda familiar so SL was like totally staring at the guy loh... Then suddenly she realised that OMG OMG OMG!! It was the President!!! S R Nathan!! One of the bodyguards kept staring over at us while they were walking past us!! Sooooo KEWL ritez? Got to see the President in person!! Hee hee!!
After that wee bit of excitement we started the jog!! Nat and YC in the front, SL and myself at the back. I was basically running with SL all the way and keeping her entertained so that she would not give up!! Considering she hasn't ran for over a year, she's not bad lah!! Hahaha!! Cannot say too much wait she read my blog then I die!! Sssh... dun tell her hor!!
I lost track of the time and distance but we did some "exercises" at one of those exercise stations along the running path! Not bad lah, SL still can do sit ups wahahaha!! Anyway, must say that I didn't know Nat is so fit man... Ms Talented is not only pretty but fit too!! Really admire her! So we got to know each other slightly better from this running session, not too shabby!
Taught Nat how to cycle after the run but I guess I'm not as good as I think I am cuz I didn't manage to get her to cycle straight. Sighz... Me fail as a teacher liaoz... Bleh!! Nvm, I'm sure she'll succeed the next time!! But as SL was saying, when you get older, it gets harder to learn new stuff!! So must always learn when you're young!!
So while Nat was busy learning how to cycle, SL went to rent a pair of rollerblades to practise her rollerblading!! But she's so shaky loh wahahaha! But after some practise she managed to blade smoothly!! So good for her ya? Cannot run but at least can blade!
By 2pm we were all hungry people lohz... So we returned all the stuff and changed into a set of clean dry clothes! And off to lunch we went!! Walked over to Parkway Parade and boy has this place changed!! I remember I used to go there for lunch when I was in primary school after church on Sundays and there used to be lotsa small shops at the basement and the entire place smelled of food! But now the place is totally different! It's like a shopping mall in town!! So many shops, restaurants and even Starbucks and the Pacific Coffee place!!
Chatted with them from 3pm till like 5pm then realised wah so late liaoz ah!! SL as usual sleepy pig one... Then she say tired wanna go home sleep!! And watch her drama serials!! I guess the moment she reached home she went to sleep loh... And the thing is that she woke up the latest among us loh...She's too pro liaoz!
Reached home and so lonely... so I went to buy my fav seasoned octopus from NTUC then reach home and rot all by myself!! ARghhhh... why no one tell me next week is holiday.... Grrrrr...
Received a call from Pangwei at 8.30pm saying he wanted to pass me the tent so tmr can go wash! I live so far from him leh... then I asked him to contact SL since she lives nearer but he couldn't get thru her cuz our dear friend was sleeping!!! Only when I met up with Pangwei at 10pm then she smsed him!! Hahaha!! So had a great chat with Pangwei till he had to catch the last train home... He looked damn shag man... Go for Kayaking Star 1 Instructor Course AND Dragon Boat Training on the same day!! And he has to do it tmr too!! Crazy guy man!!
So that's it for my day! Got to know these few friends better! I wanna start making good friends around and find my real friends ya?
