I never knew how tired my body could get...till I met them...
Arghhhh.... that was the first thing that popped up in my mind this morning!! My body was aching all over and I could hardly move man... I'm never ever going to run again!! Just the thought of moving fast hurts. But I'm glad it's over and at the same time sad cuz the team I was with was really great to hang out with!! Soooo going to miss them man!
Ok! Time to describe my agony and pains!!!
Met up with the Ad-Jam peeps @ 5.30pm @ NUS LT 11. It was pretty early to meet up since the teams only started registering @ 7.30pm! So we talk our usual crap and waited for the other teams to come! Ack... wait wait wait.
Ok... I think this is getting boring, let me just skip to how was my entire experience!!
I totally loved my team cuz they had a huge drive to win the competition, but unfortunately for them, this was not a race and it was based on how well you could answer questions rather then how fast you were. So even though they were extremely fast, they couldn't answer the questions hence they did quite badly for the entire thing!! Well, being fast had it's perks too even though it really put a strain to my body just trying to keep up with them!!
My partner, Yun Jia from SMU, couldn't keep up much with them so I told her to take her time and relax. But rules state that the councillors must be with the team @ all times, so after breaking the rule @ KAP Macs, I told them that we can't leave her behind anymore so we must all travel together!! This team started off 4th and they ran thru the entire Mac Ritchie stretch... they were chionging all the way man!! And the first team started off 20mins in front of them!! That's how fast and determined they were to catch up!!
So we flagged off at 12.15am, reached Rifle Range Road at 1.45am, started cycling at abt 2am? We went to SIM first then when I received a call from the organisers that cannot leave councillor behind I told them to go Macs to find Yun Jia then we rested there for 15mins!! We had like burgers and ice milo wahaha!! That's how much time we had yeah? Next, we went to the Bukit Timah Railway, followed by Turf City then SMU before heading back to Mac Ritchie! We reached Mac Ritchie at 4am in the morning and the other CJC team was there already. Wah seh... crazy ritez?
Oh yeah, forgot to mention the weather!! It was raining cats and dogs through out the night loh... By the time we reached, I was dripping wet and freezing!! Went to the canteen where I took off my shoes and socks cuz I cannot tahan... Then so cold until I had to wear my poncho to sleep if not I would've frozen lo... Didn't get much rest cuz it was too noisy, but at least I could rest my body for like 2 hours. The slower teams didn't get any rest at all, the barely arrived before they had to set off again, so I'm rather glad I managed to rest!!
The sun began to rise and off we went again this time to Toa Payoh for a Scavenger Hunt! Supposed to finish within the hour so it was pretty fast then the groups exchanged answers and the committee say not allowed, so minus points. Like the councillors knew like dat? I found that it was pretty smart to collaborate. But ok, they could've done it discretely.
Had a fillet-o-fish and ice milo b4 setting off to the next location! Clarke Quay! We ran to the station and I had to gobble down my burger loh. But in the end, reached there also must wait!! So sleep loh!! I had a nice nap on the bench there!! Met Desmond's team there then both teams choing up to Fort Canning together! My team so siao on that they climb up by the drain loh... the other team took the longer route and walked. Played a game of charades there then I took videos of the team hahaha! Pretty cool!!
After completing this task, they headed over to Geylang, but b4 reaching the checkpoint, we ate brunch at the tim sum place wahahaha!! So b4 reaching the deadline timing, we saw groups walking past us then there we were eating!! So funny!! We really had the luxury of time I guess! So after eating our fill, we went to the rockwall where they climbed and I slept!! Weeee... had another nap there it was a nice one too!
11.15am - Left Emmanuel House and headed for Beach Road!! Wahaha we went there to makan!! Woot! We left the teams behind at the House cuz they were eating packed lunch there. While my fantastically fast group went beach rd hawker centre!! Muahaha!!
12.45pm - Headed over the the Kallang Sea Sports club for their kayaking session. Tried to sleep but cannot leh... so in the end played dai dee with the rest of the councillors. Jez super zai loh... keep winning!!! Not fair!! But I finally caught up to 2nd place wahaha!! Then by the time, my team finished the kayaking segment liaoz then headed over to Harbour Front. Although we didn't follow the other teams, I don't know how they got to Harbour Front, but my team took a direct bus from Kallang... the rest seemed to take ages to get to Sentosa...
1.50pm - Flag off for the Scavenger Hunt in Sentosa! We had to combine teams so my team combined with YC's team. Hee hee! They like buay gam leh then cannot work together for the 2nd and 3rd checkpoint. But with my hints, they finally knew where to go!! I think they scored the best among all the other teams cuz they completed 4 checkpoints. Whereas other teams completed like 2 or 3 only? Hmm... not too sure but I guess they were fast!!
5pm - Played this human pyramid game to decipher some clue on top of a pole. They lifted me up but i could only read a bit. then i read all correctly except for one letter... sianz ze bua... But in the end, we still got it then not enuf time so choing to the final destination liaoz.
After that station I was really tired and needed to sleep man... I just fell asleep on the beach as I couldn't take it. My body was like nuahhhhhh. Actually until now I still feel like nuahing. Hahaha!! They did the rafting segment, they came in 1st(with another 2 teams) i think. It was a combined effort plus they got the right scientist!! So I guess that's why the team that was with them, AJC won 3rd!!
And the Grand Finale, a huge water bomb fight!!! The CJC team sure had lots of fun dunking people into the sea!! When things settled down a little, they jioed me go on to the floating platform where we played "Royal Rumble"!! Pushing each other off the platform!! Kaoz... they all aim me loh... the moment start all choing me liaoz!! Wahaha then 2nd time I'm smarter a bit choing pple first wahaha managed to get 2 pple off b4 I got thrown off as well hee hee!!
Overall, I'm totally shagged out by the event and I doubt I would ever do something like dat again... it was crazily insane!! Now I need to recover from this event... I slept the moment I reached home man... Wearing contacts for 30 hours in a row and not being able to sleep for like 36 hours is madness. Can you imagine how tired I was? I think maybe only Damian can share my tiredness since his team was another crazy one.
Tmr going out with the gang for New Year's Eve. I wonder how it'll go hee hee!!~

Taking life a step at a time
Wow wee! Haven't had the time to type something for ages but also cuz didn't really have the mood! You need to have the "blogging mood" before you can type some really good stuff you know?
So, Bobby is back in town!! We can finally meet up and exchange all ur happening stories ritez? He did real well in his first sem so congrats to him!!
I met up quite a number of people @ Suntec yesterday!! I was actually there to meet Damian, Desmond, Annie & Adeline for our Christmas gift exchange!! Desmond made it on time and I was rather surprised. I actually expected him to be late since it's sooooo him to be late all the time. He told me it's his New Year's Resolution not to be late. So let's hope he keeps that for the entire year ya? Adeline couldn't make it, so rather dissapointing if not we could all hang out... it's been quite some time since the 5 of us hung out together... If I recall, the last time we were together was during lunch @ the Food Court!
So yeah!! Before I forget, I met up with Lionel Wong from S3 Branch, 40 SAR!! He scored a 4.26GPA outta 5!! OMg!! So zai!! Then Bobby scored 4.1!!! Then I met my old instructor from STTS. He forgot who I was liaoz.... but that was pretty long ago when I was still a CQ trainee... so yeah... then after that I met the NUS peeps from ODAC Ad-Jam!! We were walking then I was like, hmmmm that guy looks familiar... then I saw 2 of his friends who looked familiar then I remembered!!! OH.... AD-JAM!! Hahaa so we waved @ them then continued our walk walk session!! Then met Rongyao who came back from Australia, Monash Uni now. Still looks the same that guy!! He's my Sec school friend whom I lost contact with for some time only to meet him again in the army!! It was real great meeting all these people man!! Tis' the season to be merry yeah?
So Damian, Des, Annie and myself went to get the tix for Ocean's Twelve! The show was pretty confusing but since I was the only one who watched Ocean's Eleven within the group I guess my comprehension of the movie was better than the rest. But only slightly cuz I was rather blur during the movie. You have to watch Ocean's Eleven first so you understand how the show works I feel... well, that's my opinion!! Anyway, I feel Ocean's Eleven was much better than Ocean's Twelve!! Cuz the story line was wayyyyyyy stronger than the latter!!
Had dinner @ Pastamania w/o Damian cuz he was rushing off to meet his friends for supper after the movie! So the 3 of us exchanged some stories, or rather the both of them. I was more of a listener this time round and provided my usual love comments wahaha!! And the " One Best Way to Chase a Girl" philosophy of mine. Which Desmond always luffs at me!! Hahahaha!! So it was pretty fun to listen to Annie cuz she's a rather quiet girl! I even taught her how to make a guy buy what you want!! LoL!! Ok, enough of all this, wait all the guys out there come and bash me for telling "A Guy's Greatest's Secret".
I don't know why but I suddenly felt like having a drink with Des. It's been kinda long since I felt like drinking cuz I don't really like to drink. Mainly cuz I don't wanna be like my Dad? But I chose this drink from 7-11. And Des got himself a Stella Artois. Then we both walked over to Marina Square where there were seats to drink! So we sat down there, just the two of us and talked cock wahaha!! It was pretty cool man!! Even though we're such close friends, or people seem to say we're always together most of the time, they're all wrong!! Cuz we haven't had a good chat with each other for almost a week!!! The last time we chatted was on Sunday last week. That bugger couldn't wake up for lecture on Monday(20th) and on Thurs(23rd), no chance to talk too cuz went to shop for Wayne's prezzie!! So when we actually met on Sunday(26th), we had so much stuff to tell each other, or rather I had a lot of stuff to tell him!! So yesterday, being the 27th, we met up again and finally I had some quality time with him alone. He's a real good friend and I wanna keep someone like him thru out my life!!
Wonder what to do on New Year's Eve... Was chatting with the girls last nite then they discussing plans I'm like ok... pretty cool... I don't mind anything... you guys decide then inform me I'll just go loh.... I feel a need to chill out and relax a bit cuz I've been quite "siao on" lately about going out... plus planning really drains my mental capability and I need to use my brains for something else. *Hee Hee* So this time round, I feel pretty relieved that I don't need to think of anything!!! Finally, I can just sit back and enjoy the little things that pass me by!!
Played games with Amos till like 3am then that guy damn good.... still can msg me after the game : " Dog, where are you? " Lucky I turned off my phone liaoz cuz I wanted to have a good sleep today!! Need lots of rest for Ad-Jam later mah... Only when I got up @ 9.30am then I saw the msg!! I was like laughing out loud to myself that guy is nuts!!! 3am in the morning still can ask me to continue playing!! Siao!!!!
Yeah man, today I got up @ 9.30am!!! Can you believe that?? So early!! First time leh!! I was suddenly inspired to do some writing and I jumped outta bed and switched on my computer to type my feelings and thoughts out. 6 hours of sleep... not too bad... but after I finished typing I went back to snooze mode again wahaha!! Then I slept from 11am till 1.30pm only to be awoken by my growling stomach!
Alrighty then, I've gotta be @ NUS by 5.30pm today for Ad-Jam!!! ARghhhhhhhh!!! Why did I sign up for it in the first place? It's cuz I'm helping a friend in need that's why I signed up. NO ONE psychos me ok? I'm independent and have a mind of my own. But I do submit to peer pressure once in a while.
If you haven't noticed, I changed my blog song liaoz!! Yes!! Christmas is now over and it's time for new beginnings!! The exams are coming and it's time to start working hard. No more slacking @ home and playing silly computer games or chatting online. It's time to put in the effort to hit the books!! So if you guys see me online, make sure you scold me for being online!! I can't afford to fail any subjects so I must work real hard for the remaining 5 mths!!
Ok I don't write new year resolutions cuz I'm not resolute enough to keep my resolutions. Is that the right way to use that word? I don't even know! Sounds right though, so I'll keep that sentence I guess!! I feel so good just being able to type again and I think I will continue blogging again!!

I've been real busy lately as you guys can see from all those photos I took recently!! This has been one of my busiest week yet!!
The gang celebrated SL's birthday on Monday and we had helluva fun @ Wild Wild Wet!! Actually, I only found one ride amusing, which was this ride known as the Slide Up!! It's a 2 person ride!! Pretty thrilling I must say and we took that ride like 4 times? Cuz towards closing time, there was no queue at all so we kept going over and over again!! So guys, if you're going there, I recommend you go like the moment it opens and play till it closes. Best is if you go on a school day with less people around!! Make ur $12.50 more worth it mah!!~
Lazed around the entire day on Tuesday and went shopping for the gang on Wed! Bought them all presents and I was so excited to pass it to everyone in school!! So the moment I reached home on Wed nite I went to wrap those prezzies and write those Christmas cards!! I spend like 3 hours writing everyone's cards!!
I gave out all my prezzies on Thursday and we went to Queensway to buy Wayne's present! If you guys didn't know yet, his birthday is on the 26th! Which is tmr!! So remember to wish him Happy Birthday hor!!
And Friday came!! I was looking forward to today cuz I get to meet my first 3 mths JC classmates!! Actually the meeting only consists of 4 of us, but sad to say, Irene couldn't make it today so rather sad loh... If not all 4 of us can have family reunion liaoz wahaha!! Anyway, went Marche for lunch and I had like a pizza and half of a rosti since Wendy couldn't finish her food so I gladly ate it up for her since I love rosti!! I couldn't eat my favorite crepe cuz I'll be going to Marche for dinner later on!! Meeting the gang there for dinner and Fort Canning man!
Then later on Alex gave me a lift to CCK where I met QingYang, Ashwin, CFC and Lexin for a talk cock session! Actually wanted to go watch the Kung Fu hustle but I decided not to join them for the midnite movie cuz I didn't want to spend unnecessary money leh... plus the seats not very good so i decided to pass that movie liaoz!
Ok that's it for the update till the next! Time to get some well deserved rest!!

When things in your life seem almost too much to handle, when 24 hours in a day are not enough, remember the mayonnaise jar and the coffee...
A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, wordlessly, he picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls. He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was. So the professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was. The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else.
He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with a unanimous "yes." The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively filling the empty space between the sand. The students laughed.
"Now," said the professor, as the laughter subsided, "I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are the important things- your God, your family, your children, your health, your friends, and your favorite passions -- things that if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full. The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house, and your car. The sand is everything else-the small stuff. "If you put the sand into the jar first," he continued, "there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for life. If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff, you will never have room for the things that are important to you.
Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Play with your children. Take time to get medical checkups. Take your partner out to dinner. Play another 18. There will always be time to clean the house and fix the disposal." Take care of the golf balls first, the things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand." One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the coffee represented. The professor smiled. "I'm glad you asked. It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem, there's always room for a couple of cups of coffee with a friend."
