Phew!! I'm finally back from the SIM Extreme Challenge and boy was it an amazing one!!! The pics are all below so enjoy ya?
I'm extremely tired after the race. This was a very good one with lots of ups and downs and huge excitement! Especially towards the end! So let's start the ball rolling!!
Friday 191104 5.30pm
Flag off from SIM HQ! Had to down a can of red bull before we could get the first clue! It was to find a car located somewhere on the campus! We finally found the car and next clue was: Rock Room in NUS!
Had to climb this rock wall and soooooo blardy tough loh!!! Really really hard! I climb until my arms shaking!! So we finally got the clue and we got some funny clue with numbers on it! Managed to decipher it after like 5mins when off to Woodlands we went!!
At woodlands we had difficulty finding the checkpoint cuz it was at some dark and ulu place loh!! Then Gene and Theo were there! Had to gather like 10 5-cent coins, 5 branches of the same length, 20 bouganvilla flowers, 5 bus tix, 20 serviettes and a size 11 sandal!! So we all ran off in different directions looking for them!! All gathered back in 5mins and we had to sing a christmas carol for Theo! Then off we ran!
Next checkpoint: Taman Jurong Super Bowl! Had to built a structure of sticks and masking tape to the height of Aizah's shoulder! YC came up with a strat then with luck, we managed to built it fast fast! And it could actually stand wahaha! So we're lucky!! Then had to find a girl somewhere in the building with a watch! Desmond found her fast fast too then off to the next place!!
Jurong Hill Top Restaurant! Took bus to Boon Lay then met up with Shihui's team! We were so happy to have caught up to 3rd placing!!! Wooo!! So we took the bus together to Jurong Bird Park then when we reached there we realised that there were like 3 teams there already!!! Arghh!! So have to pia again!! Had to take photos from the top and that silly pic where u see the 5 of us lying on the floor came from there!!
Next location: Kent Ridge Park! This time with Pangwei's group we took bus together and completed the tasks together! This one easy easy lah! Make the joss stick burn finish then can go! Basically they were like giving us a break but it was too long!! And by the time we finished the task there was no more public transpot!!
So how? Walk lah!! Next place: Adam Road Food Center!! Finally reached there, forget the time liaoz... Legs all shagged out. Then met up with Guan Heng for the next clue and some food! This was basically a rest stop cuz we had more walking to do!! After 2 bowls of Xia Mian we like 30mins of rest we started our walk to Mac Ritchie Reservoir!!
Task at Mac Ritchie: Seperate the green/red beans from a bag!! So we pia!!! Finished the task in 10mins then we had to drink down a bottle of celery juice!!! It was here that I found out Nat can drink almost everything loh... Regardless of how bad it tasted Nat can just drink it all down!!
Next place: Chomp Chomp at Serangoon Gardens! Mode of Transpot: Our legs Weather: Heavy Rain Time taken to reach: 2hours How it felt along the way: My legs were actually sore from walking such a long distance in the rain! The heavy rain slowed us down a lot and it was so freakin' cold!! How it felt after the walk: I was freezing!! My mind shagged out, couldn't think.
The rest at Chomp Chomp was meant for us to rest since the buses were not yet avaliable and walking to Serangoon MRT in the rain would do us no good! So we found a nice cosy spot outside one of those closed kopitiams then slept there till the buses were avaliable! When I got up, my contact lens was like going to pop out of my eye cuz too dry! Heng never drop out if not "gg" liaoz!!
Next Location: Harbour Front! Breakfast and some rest there!! Slept on the tables at the food center! I really fell alseep for a while.
Saturday 201104 8.45am
Time for a shuttle bus ride to Sentosa! Reached there had to swim, find ping pong balls in a huge sand box( this one killed all the teams cuz it's just so hard to find those darn balls!), wear pampers, and drink half a bottle of lemon juice! Thank goodness had Nat to drink man! If I had drank it, I would've puked man.
Swim and ran kinda shag man... First time I swim and run together loh... After those games we played my body seh seh liaoz. Then took a nice shower! Wahaha! Cuz we had so much time to kill!! Came out all clean again!! yeah!! Then the beach was such a nice place to chat. Nice breeze, nice scenery, great company!!
12.45pm Finally left Sentosa! Next location: Marine Parade Library Starbucks! This clue was the toughest in the race, 3 words only.

Changi Airport Terminal 2 Burger King lah! Hahaha!
So we were told that we could still catch up and our spirits were lifted again! Caught a bus to the Airport and met Rae there with the next clue: The Sore Thumb of East Coast Park
We were told that the time lapse between the first team and us were like 20mins? So from a huge gap of 45mins, we managed to cut down 20mins!
Ran down to the bus stop again waiting for the 36 to bring us to ECP! I fell asleep on the bus then next thing I know I was woken up and then we were running down the bus! I was in a total daze loh.
Bedok Jetty!! Run run run!! Run until shag liaoz then while we finally reached the end, saw Gene and had to find another piece of paper along the jetty. Thanks to some passerbys, they told us where the paper was and we manged to find it after like 10mins! Oh yah! When we were running down the jetty, Shihui's team was running out liaoz! So were like omg!! We caught up with them!! So all the more motivation we had!!
Next clue: Costa Sands bench
Decision: Borrow bikes
Desmond and I ran all the way to the bike shop so that we could borrow bikes for the girls! Reached there all shagged out!! Then we pedalled fast fast to the bench before we realised, that was the end of the race liaoz.
I was like DUH!! How can end so fast?? I expected like more clues so we could have a higher chance of catching up!! So that was the end of the race!! Pangwei's team won! Congrats to them!!
Since we borrowed the bikes then still have like 1.5hours to go, we decided to go for a ride loh. Hahaha! Nat and I was using the tandem bike! So it was rather thrilling to make her scared wahaha!!
We had a nice chat at the beach at a bench! I'm really happy for us!!! And I'm really proud of Shilei and Natalie for doing so well! We worked well as a team, completed the entire race as a team. No quarrels, no disputes! The important thing was that we didn't give up even though we were last!!! Everything is possible! And we accomplished our goal: TO HAVE FUN!!
So here we are, all still in one piece! Our frienship has just grown closer and I hope it'll stay that way from time to come...
