Wow, I was like reading everyone's blogs then mostly everyone is like saying " I hate Chinese New Year". Well, it has been some time since I last celebrated Chinese New Year and yes, my CNYs are usually spent the same way as every other year! Worse is to be spending CNY in camp yeah.
What do I do every year? Sit around at my uncle's place and stone and catch up with all my cousins whom I only see like once a year? BAh! And all my relatives will come down and it's a hi and bye thing I guess. That's what we do every year I guess! But this time at least my uncle's friends came down and so there were new people around! Some familiar faces which I've seen last year but the kids were really cute! Especially when they're so hyper active and just love to run all over the place! Hahaha! I just love those kids! Then u get to disturb them all the time and keep tickling them and they'll roll all over wahaha!
So I reached my uncle's place at 1pm. Which is a miracle since my family is usually one of the latest to arrive every year! And this time, my mom found entertainment by playing mahjong lo... then my dad drinking with his brothers. So my sis, tarika(my cousin), and myself found our own entertainment by watching some old movie about 3 siblings from an orphanage whom got split up and was trying to find each other many years later. After a while, we realised the show was getting crappy then switch to watching Terminator 3 then realised that we can't even hear the conversations happening between the characters in the movie due to the loud sound of tiles hitting against each other.
Having slept at 5am the night before, I retired to my cousin's room only to be invaded by the little kids! They seem to be attracted by computer games and 2 little boys i think still in primary school came in and started quarrelling over whom should play first! I was just luffing at them remembering myself when I was a little kid too! So it was getting too noisy and crowded so we chased them outta the room for some peace and rest!
The highlight of my evening came when I went out of the room and saw this girl in the living room whom I've never seen before. One of my uncle's friend's daughter. HA! Now at least I've something to look at!! Spent the rest of the evening checking her out! Dinner time came and past and the hyper active kids were getting hungry and craving for some macs. So being so bored already, the 3 of us(sis,tarika and me) decided to go buy macs for the kids which was kinda cool but it made us miss half of american idol cuz there were like 8 orders and we had to wait pretty long. One of them could actually finish the entire grilled chicken turnover and I was simply amazed at it. Primary 2 only I think. Didn't know kids can eat so much these days! He even showed me a little trick of throwing the fries up in the air and catching it in his mouth.
Sooo, as I was giving out the food to the kids, one of them turned out to be that girl's little bro. Happy. Yes, I find the littlest things in life to make me happy.
